In the Properties dialog for the drive, next to the Write Key edit box click the
Remove button. The computer you perform this action on will no longer be able to write to the
network drive.

Step 5: Mount and Unmount Drives
To control whether a shared drive is accessible or writeable to your computer, rightclick
the icon in the system tray and select your desired mounting option, as shown
in Figure 5-14.
Note: It is a good practice to unmount the drive when it is not in use, especially if you are
writing files to the shared drive. Leaving a drive mounted in Read/Write mode may prevent
others from writing their files to the drive.

Whether for home security monitoring, keeping an eye on the nanny or cleaning
crew, or watching the traffic pass outside your home, running a webcam
and being able to view it while you are away can be pretty useful if not
entertaining.
