Click the Select Remote Users button to access the Remote Desktop Users
dialog box, shown in Figure 14-3.
In the Remote Desktop Users dialog box, click the Add button and type in the
name of users who have accounts on this computer??”those who you want to
be able to take control of this computer remotely.
Click the OK button to close these dialog boxes and then close the Control
Panel. This computer is now ready for remote-control connections.

Step 2: Connect to and Control Your Remote Computer
Accessing the desktop of a remote computer is similar to connecting to a shared drive
or printer??”???address??? the computer, log on, and suddenly the desktop interface of
another computer appears in a new window on your computer. Follow these steps:
Go to the Start menu, expand All Programs, select Accessories (see Figure 14-4),
and then click Remote Desktop Connection. (In XP Home the Remote Desktop
Connection may appear under the Communications sub-menu.)

In the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, shown in Figure 14-5, type in
the name or IP address of the computer you want to take control of, and then
click the Connect button.
