Step 4: Stream Automatically at Startup
You can save your streaming settings and have them start automatically through a
Windows shortcut or batch/command file:
In the Windows Media Encoder main window select File | Save As.
Pick a folder location and filename for the stream configuration file??”for this
project I used SCANNER.WME. Save the file.
Create a batch/command file, or a new Windows shortcut with the following
command-line content to use as the instant start of the encoder and stream:
"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Components\Encoder\wmenc.exe"
"c:\scanner.wme" /start
Do not stream/rebroadcast content that you do not have license or rights to distribute. As you
may know from following various cases of media piracy against Napster, YouTube, and MySpace,
copyright laws are very strict. Police, fire, ambulance, amateur radio, marine radio, and so forth
are non-copyright material in the public domain. Such content may not be used for profit.
