146 Project 21
Access the router??™s web configuration page by entering the router??™s IP address
into the Address bar of your web browser. Don??™t know what address
to use? You could go to the Properties dialog box of the network adapter in
your computer to find out, but an easier way is to use the Ipconfig program
from a command prompt, as shown in Figure 21-2. Ipconfig quickly tells us
the default gateway address is 192.168.0.1??”this is the LAN address of the
router. Put this address into your web browser.

Expanding Beyond the Bridge 147
Access the Internet/WAN settings for the router, as shown in the example in
Figure 21-3, and then select a Dynamic connection type and click Next. Your
router will get a dynamic IP address through the bridge adapter we installed
in Project 20. Click the Next button to access the final WAN configuration
page, shown in Figure 21-4, skip entering a name, and click Apply Changes
to convert your router from cable/DSL use to local network use.
